Color-accurate lighting For the graphic arts
Good lighting is just as important to a high-quality printing job as the right kind of paper or ink. If the light is wrong, the color will be wrong too. But if everyone involved in the creative process views transparencies, reflective art, match prints and press proofs under the same light, they'll see the same color tones.
That's why the American National Standards Institute (A.N.S.I.) has adopted a standard calling for one kind of light to be used for all Color Quality Appraisal and Color Uniformity Appraisal work throughout the graphics arts and printing industries.
Briefly stated, the standard specifies a fluorescent light source with a Color Temperature of 5000K—with a CRI of 90 or higher, and providing at least 2200 lumens from a four-foot tube.
H&H's Vi-Tek 93® Plus fluorescent, with a lumen output of 3210, more than meets that standard. Using our Vi-Tek 93® Plus lamps in your color viewing stations assures consistent, accurate color evaluation. Using Vi-Tek 93® Plus throughout your print shop transforms your entire facility into a complete color-matching area.
As a graphic arts professional, the last thing you need are costly "do-overs"—jobs that are rejected because of poor color quality. With H&H's Vi-Tek 93® Plus, you're not just buying a light bulb. You're making an investment that will improve your business by helping you to produce top quality printing—the first time, every time.
