A typical 8 foot T12 strip fixtures consumes 158 watts when on, but retrofit that fixture with 2 Vi-Tek 93® Plus 4 foot fluorescent lamps and the fixture will consume only 74 watts. To save 84 watts per fixture just remove your old lamps, channel cover, and ballast and replace them with the Retrofit kit. The 8 foot T12 Retrofit comes with a prewired ballast and socket bars, reflectors, and Vi-Tek 93® Plus lamps.

How can 6 little 4 foot fluorescent lamps create more light than a high bay fixture while saving as much as 243 watts per fixture? The Vi-Tek 93® Plus fluorescent lights are designed to be a bright full spectrum lamp. Then to increase the light output per lamp even more we use a high ballast factor ballast in our 8 foot fixtures to overdrive the fluorescent lamps without affecting lamp life. To make sure the light is where you want it AND evenly distributed our fluorescent fixtures use highly efficient reflectors. By combining high brightness full spectrum lamps with a high ballast factor ballast, and specially engineered reflectors 6 T8 lamps can produce more light while saving up to 243 watts per fixture.
