Crystal Clear Glass Envelope
Only the finest quality "soda lime" glass is used in Task-Master® traffic signal lamps. Unlike the "cloudy" glass used in some foreign imports, soda lime glass offers maximum clarity and a high degree of thickness control.
95% Krypton Fill-Gas
Any good traffic signal lamp should contain krypton gas (instead of conventional argon). But only the H&H Task Master® contains as much as 95% krypton, as verified by the independent Atlantic Analytical Laboratory. Krypton allows the filament to burn hotter and for a longer period of time. Resulting in a higher light output and longer lamp life!
Super Tough Tungsten Filaments
H&H Uses only the toughest, most resilient, longest-lasting filaments in the traffic signal lamps. 99% of our lamps easily withstood a force exceeding 7G, surpassing any punishment the lamps would experience in normal traffic signal applications.
C-11V Projection Filament Design
Solidly supported at seven different points, the H&H C-11V projection filament creates an optimum beam pattern, directing more light into motorists' eyes and eliminating the center deadspot.
Polished Aluminum Reflector Disk
A built-in highly polished six-mil aluminum reflector disk reflects light back towards the signal lens, adding to usable light. It also protects the base, socket and wiring from destructive bulb heat.
Built-In Fuse Wire
Protects against damage to sockets and controls in the event of an electrical "arc-out."
Heat Resistant Basing Cement
Exclusive basing glue withstands temperatures in excess of 200°C (392°F), ensuring a permanent bond between base and bulb. Specially grooved glass bulb accepts more glue for greater strength. That's why H&H Task-Masters® exceed all A.N.S.I. torque test standards.
Brass Base
We use a non-corroding brass base because, unlike an aluminum base, a brass won't "freeze" or weld itself to the socket.
Seven Day "Hold Period"
All H&H Task Master® traffic signal lamps are "flash" tested immediately after manufacture. After a 7 day hold period, where they are monitered for gas leaks, they are retested and packed for shipping.
16,000 Hour Rated Life
Long burning life reduces maintenance and replacement costs.
